The new Ellsworth Public Library is the result of year's of hard work and effort all of which will be celebrated during the library's Grand Opening Celebration. Donors, patrons, and the public are all invited to attend.
More about the event was outlined in an article by Sarah Nigbor of the Pierce County Journal. If you missed seeing the story, you can read it here.
During the event a passport-style self-guided tour, with prizes, will direct guests through the library’s 12 stations, which includes a quiet reading room, study rooms, the teen room, a storytime play space, a children’s area, a makerspace, a history room, a meeting room, the director’s office, public computers, the circulation desk and a hospitality area. Musical performances will be provided by the Ellsworth High School brass ensemble, guitarist Bob Doheny, and percussionist, Heather Barringer. Refreshments will be served in the makerspace.
As Friends' member, Karen Meyer, remarked in The Journal article, "“The relocating and remodeling of the library is a testament to what positivity and perseverance can accomplish. It’s something that has been a long time coming but certainly worth the trip.”
We hope you will plan to join us for the Grand Opening event.
